Happy Holidays Graduation Class!
Before you take off for a much-deserved break, we have one final reminder from guidance. If you are planning on applying to University or College, then we encourage you to get your applications done over the holidays. Remember that the equal consideration deadline for Ontario universities is January 15, 2024, and for Ontario colleges, it's February 1st, 2024. You can still apply after these dates; however, programs may be closed or full (especially the competitive ones). We would not want to see you miss out on the program and post-secondary institution of your choice because you missed the deadline.
We've attached instructions for you, too, since you’ll be completing the application from home. If you would prefer to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Winter or Mrs. Anderson in the new year, please do so ASAP as we don’t return until the 8th of January (only one week before the first deadline).
*** A note for those students doing applications from home: We'd like to know if you've completed your application and have a record of your choices. If you're able to provide us a copy of that (either electronically or printed out), we'll keep it safely tucked away.
Have a wonderful holiday, rest up, and enjoy some you time as well as time with family and friends.

Hello, Graduating Bears!
As promised, here is the PowerPoint from our post-secondary info session from last night. We hope that it will help you make a good start on your research as you prepare to do your college and/or university application.
IF YOU MISSED THE PRESENTATION, you are invited to sign up for our second run-through on Tuesday, October 3rd, starting promptly at 9:05 in the Learning Commons. You must register in advance by emailing Ms. Shaw ([email protected]) or you can stop by the Guidance office. You should also check with your teacher (it's a period 1) to make sure that it's okay for you to miss that second hour.
We've also attached an electronic copy of the form for community involvement hours. (We have hard copies in the Guidance office.) Remember that you need to submit a separate form for each different activity, but if you are doing the same activity multiple times, you just need to record all the dates and times on the back of the same sheet.
