CPHS Post Secondary Presentation Information
Mon., Oct. 20, 2025
Good morning, Bears,
I hope you are enjoying your PA Day. I wanted to reach out today to let you know that next Monday, October 27th at 9:05am, the University of New Brunswick is returning to CPHS.
The wonderful Joni Gauthier will be here to answer questions, and she will be offering ON THE SPOT ADMISSION, as well as waiving the application fee.
Here is how it works:
- Joni will waive the $65 application fee for anyone applying with her that day or who has pre-registered (as suggested below)
- Students can apply directly to the UNB website and hit the 'pay later' option at the end of their application (it works best if you do this before Joni arrives to save some time)
- Joni needs TWO documents:
1. Student Status Sheet
2. Transcript
If you are interested in attending this meeting on Oct. 27th, and applying to UNB, please email me ASAP so I can prepare your Student Status Sheet and Transcript for Joni.
Have a great day!

Hello CPHS Grads,
This is a reminder of next weeks College Event. Algonquin College is inviting students and their families to the annual College Information Program in Ottawa. More than 20 colleges from all across Ontario will be in attendance. This gives students a great opportunity to speak with colleges who typically do not visit the Ottawa area.
The College Information Program is on Monday, October 27, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Algonquin College Robert C. Gillett Student Commons. Register https://www.algonquincollege.com/openhouse/college-information-program/
There is a digital poster attached also.
What a great opportunity so close to home!
Take care,
Mrs. Anderson

Hello Grads,
Here are some specific details about the Ontario Universities Regional Fair that St. John's Catholic High School is hosting in Perth on October 7th, 2025. It is during school time, but with parental permission, this would be a great reason to miss a class or go on your spare/lunch.
Event Details:
Date: Tuesday, October 7th, 2025
Time: 11AM to 1PM
Location: St. John's Catholic High School
The Universities expected to attend can be found at the bottom of the OUEvents Page.
- Students are encouraged to sign up for an OUEvents Pass so they can easily share their information with the universities they are interested in. After a student scans their OUEvents Pass at a university table, they will receive personalized information and advice from the university. Students will need access to a mobile device at the event, or to register ahead of the event and print off their OUEvents Pass QR code to bring with them, in order to scan their Pass at the event.
- Parents, guardians, supporters and educators can sign up for an OUEvents Pass too if they are interested in receiving information from the universities.
Where to go:
Entrance: There are two entrance at the front of our school. When you arrive, we ask that you use the smaller entrance to the right of the school (not the main entrance, the one closer to the parking lot). This entrance leads straight to the gym, where the fair will be taking place. Once you go inside, walk straight ahead to arrive at the gym.
Washrooms: Can be found in the adjacent hallway to the left of the main gym entrance. They are about half way down that adjacent hallway (directly outside and across the hall from the other gym entrance).
What a great opportunity to have so close to home!
Take care,
Mrs. Anderson and Mme. Day
